Bop Bop – This song takes shape first through the rhythm that is now the chorus, the “ba domp, ba domp”. This was something Russell and Shea were jamming during some downtime at practice. The idea originally was going to be its own song, but it never could really stick. Shea had introduced us to playing Emajor7 and Amajor7 together around the same time. Rik really gravitated to rocking back and forth between those two chords and singing over them. This started to become its own song until one day we just combined them together. The pairing ended up working well together giving us a verse (Emaj7/Amaj7) and the chorus (ba domp, ba domp). Rik had gone in and finished his final takes of vocals and sent out the new version for us to listen to. Shea was going to go in now and do some back-up vocals to finalize the song. While he was working with Joe going through the song he found these vocal tracks over the solo that had been muted. He unmuted them and had no idea why they were even muted in the first place. We couldn’t figure out why or how they became muted we just knew that they needed to be in there. They ended up being pasted over the outro as well because we loved them so much. We wanted to try and use it sparingly but every time we cut them out or tried to shorten them the song just felt so empty without them.

Lyrics
You take your lonely night
Spirit in the dust
Oh how you walk through all the nights
Takin only speckles of dust
You notice wings are bright
Right into your bright blue and yellow eyes
Take me to the moon tonight
Who will you be tonight
Where will you be tonight
You wager your life
On a long bird drive
There sung your little wife
Rockin moon stripes lookin in and out of
The fire in your life
Feelin through your bright blue and yellow little eyes
Take me to the moon tonight
Me I’m gonna make it right
Me I’m gonna make it right
