This is another song that just started out as a jam focusing on the importance of the rhythm when it hits. We played this song for a while never really trying to tame it. We just wanted to focus on two things: the rhythm of the chorus and the dynamics. We have to fill a 2-3 hour block for most of our gigs in the greater Sacramento area. During one of our gigs we had some time to fill and played Mind’s Eye knowing we could jam it awhile. It ended up being an epic rendition, one that will never be played that way again. Luckily, we have, Russell our scribe who caught it with his phone. Maybe because we weren’t really thinking it needed to be anything specific, everyone’s part just fell into place, perfectly. Some of those things we played that night were developed into the final version since we were able to draw from Russell’s recording. We really like how we added the mellow beginning to the song and how, Mike changes to the four on the floor during the second verse. It’s the little things about this song that we have grown to love.

Lyrics
Season in the tree waiting for the freeze
I don’t want to take in what they’re sprayin’
On me
I see the haze has come again
Save me from the dust
Pour it on my friend
Losing all my trust
Sheep all sleep within
Play the part they must
So welcome to the land of no one
No one
No one
Now you see a repeat of a trend
Shaking off the rust
Just doing what they said
Drive it into us
Take your weary hand
Push you through the crust
Welcome to the land of no one
Land
No one
Land
No one
No one
No one
No one
No one
In your minds eye
What you seein’ in
In your minds eye
What you seein’ in
In your minds eye
What you seein’ in
In your minds eye
What you seein’ in
