Holiday – this was something we jammed on back in 2019 for a while that turned into our warmup/sound check at our gigs. Mike was on tour with another band for about a month and during this time the song was worked on by Rik, Russ and Shea in Shea’s garage. This is where it began to become finalized. Russell was strumming that D chord on the bass and just kind of fell into place. The keyboard lick was originally a type of break between versus at first because we didn’t have a chorus yet. The “Holiday “chorus that Rik sang was instantly one that stuck with everyone, especially when we played it live at a show in Truckee. Later on, we added the bridge and that kind of made it the final rendition we recorded.
